BIKE ACCIDENT
Much gratitude for YOU!
In the summer of 1970 my sister and I went for a bicycle ride. I was four years old that summer, my older sister was about 16 years old. I was sitting on the fender of the bike and she was doing the peddling and the steering. We took a ride towards the river in our hometown. As we were enjoying the ride, I was dangling my legs and had an unfortunate accident. The back of my left foot got caught up in the spokes of the tire. As i screamed for my sister to stop the bike, she looked back at me and realized I was bleeding. My sister has seizures and this experience put her into one at that moment. We both fell to the ground with the bicycle. The location we were in was very industrial, nobody around that could help us. I remember placing my finger in her mouth to keep her from swallowing her tongue. Because we were told back then to do that when she was in a seizure. Now my foot was still stuck in the spokes and it was bleeding a lot and I felt so frightened. Then suddenly, out of the blue a little white car appeared and stopped. Inside was a young couple, both blond. They actually had clothe diapers in the car! The woman attended to my sister, and the man got my foot out of the spokes. They drove us to the hospital. I knew my phone number, so the woman at the ER desk called our mother. I had to have emergency surgery on my ankle. My mother asked the woman working at the hospital about the couple that brought us there, She so badly wanted to thank them for saving our lives! The women told my mother that we came into the ER by ourselves!! I now believe that they were ANGELS sent to us that summer day!! Thank you so much!
